1462 In a small village in England a child named Will Essex is born. As the child grows older, it becomes apparent that he is no ordinary child; instead, he is mutant born with the mind of a super genius, the fighting skills of a Martial Arts master, the strength of 20 men, and the ability to speak, read and write languages that he has never seen before – including the language of an alien race of intergalactic guardians that protect the known universe. The aliens become aware of Will’s birth, as he is the first child ever to be born on Earth with mutant abilities, and when he is 18, they approach him to join their ranks as a Guardian. Will is brought to their home planet where he undergoes a genetic enhancement process that has never been performed on a human before, and as a result, Will unexpectedly develops superhuman powers, including invulnerability, the power of flight, hyper-speed, immortality, and other miraculous powers! As a Guardian, he is known throughout the universe as the Shadow Warrior! One of Will’s first assignments as a Guardian is to protect Earth, which has been visited and monitored by numerous alien civilizations for millennia, and to keep humans from learning that there is other intelligent life in the universe until they have matured enough as a race to accept this revelation. 1942 Hitler’s Nazi horde is rampaging across Europe in his bid to conquer Europe and achieve his ultimate goal of world domination, but the Allied forces have started to turn the tide in their favor and are defeating Hitler in battle after battle. However, this all changes after an alien spacecraft, that is on a peaceful scientific mission, crashes on Earth and its occupants, along with their advanced weapons, are captured. The Nazis begin using the alien’s advanced weaponry against the Allied forces and subsequently gain the upper hand! Follow Will’s exciting adventures as he and a team of German-speaking American, British, and Australian commandos are tasked with rescuing the aliens, retrieving their devastating weapons, and stopping the Nazis before they take over the world! First off I have never written a book. I've been thinking about it for years but have yet to make it happen. Having said that I would have a very hard time trashing the work of someone who has done what I have not but I will point out the issues I had with this book. First off the hero had far too many powers, he came across as a combination of Captain Comet, Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Batman, and Green Lantern at the least. This guy had powers that were all over the place, he could even move forward and backwards through time at will. It's kind of hard to relate to such an umber-powerful character like this. Even worse the hero's spaceship had outrageous superpowers, it could destroy a planet at ease or shoot a hole through the center of a quarter from light-years away...come on now. The writing itself while good most of the time could also be rather abrupt out of the blue. Suddenly, in the middle of the story line we are told about the background of characters for some odd reason. Things like this just made the story feel somewhat disjointed and out of sync. Ah, getting back to the hero's powers anyone who had read any of the 1950's Superman comics will surely recognize some of the feats this story's hero performs (just how do you stop a tidal wave again?). Also, I had to wonder with the vast array of superpowers the hero (and his ship) have just why did he need the team of soldiers with him again? They really did not do much of anything but I guess someone had to marvel at the hero's abilities. Oh yeah, and the sex scenes, geeze, some of them seemed really graphic and to me out of place in this story.

Overall the story was not awful and hopefully the writer will continue to improve with time.

Only a few typos, seems some one conducted a simple word search to edit and changed all that word, bit distracting but over all liked the tale, though at times seems disjointed and thin,,,still nice imagery and can understand the story when the super powers would have prevented this need for it...
The book was well written. It was written so all ages could understand, I enjoyed the fact that I felt a part of the book. It had a great story line. Please keep up the good work. Can't wait to hear about your next book!
Fantastic read! I had trouble putting the book down. There are two versions one adult and one young adult. Be sure to order the appropriate book.
The author starts out with a very good idea. I admit he had me hooked. Half way through in this book, things do start to change. I have to agree with another reviewer, the author does lay it on thick with the super powers. I just cannot decide if it is meant to be a satire of science fiction in general or the author just lost control writing this, as it is written this guy makes Superman look like a weakling. However, with the price being charged by , you can read it and make up your own mind.
and quite a nice story to read.
Illistructed some falws in life and love, had some nice moral decisions and reactions that left me happy and wanting the second or third in a series to read!
I got this book through the free section and figured, what the heck. In general it was a very good read, the story flowed very well, the writing had a few errors but nothing major. The only reason I had to knock the rating down was the abilities the main character has. I dont want to give anything away or ruin the book for anyone who may be interested but there were times where it seemed more of just a convenient option to get out of an 'end of the world' problem that the writter had created. All in all, a good read.
LW has written a unique novel of galactic policemen and the requirements of the profession. They stop any outside interference to non industrial planets not ready for entrance into the Galactic Federation. This is an excellent read for the genre.....ER
